How to Add Your Nexus NVR to the Montavue Nexus Mobile App

Before You Begin

Before adding your NVR to the Montavue Nexus app, make sure:

  • Your Nexus NVR is connected to your network.

  • P2P is enabled on the recorder.

  • You have access to your NVR administrator password.

  • You have downloaded the Montavue Nexus app on your Androidor Apple device.

*When you first launch the app, you will be prompted to allow push notifications. Enable notifications to receive camera alerts and motion detection events.

Create Your Montavue Nexus Account

  1. Open the Montavue Nexus app.

  2. Create a new account (if you had .

  3. Once logged in, you'll be taken to the Device page.


How to Add a Nexus NVR to the Montavue Nexus App

Step 1: Start the Device Add Process

  1. Tap the blue "+" button.

  2. Select Quick Binding.

Step 2: Scan the QR Code or Enter the Serial Number

You can add your recorder in two ways:

Option 1: Scan the QR Code

  1. On your NVR, go to the Main Menu.

  2. Click the QR icon in the upper-right corner.

  3. Scan the QR code labeled Scan Binding with your mobile device.

  2. Enter the serial number into the app.

After scanning the QR code or entering the serial number:

  1. Enter the administrator password for the NVR.
