The 4 included MTB8112-V 4K optical zoom cameras and 4 MTB8110 fixed lens cameras are equipped with the latest 4K resolution image sensors to produce clear images at 4 times the resolution of 1080p cameras. These 4K cameras can record at 3840 x 2160 resolution. The vari focal cameras also feature a 4x optical zoom that allows you to zoom in on all of the finer details while maintaining the full resolution of the camera. With such high resolutions, we have built H.265 compression into the camera to reduce storage requirements by up to 50% compared to older H.264 compression. The MTB8112-V and MTB8110 have a wide 112º field of view when they are zoomed out, and a narrow 46° field of view when fully zoomed in. These security cameras are equipped with the best light smoothing technology made, including True Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), Back-Light Control (BLC), High-Light Control (HLC), and 3D Dynamic Noise Reduction technologies. All of these are crucial to producing very clear images in high-contrast lighting day and night.

The MTB8112-V and MTB8110 also feature our Intelligent Video Surveillance (IVS) features, such as tripwire and intrusion. These features will help you maximize the use of your surveillance system and send you alerts when you need them.

The MNR12163-16 16 channel NVR is equipped with an incredible Quad-Core embedded processor capable of recording 4K resolution video in real time (30 frames per second) on all 16 channels. 2K & 4K resolution brings greater details to your video, and allows you to utilize the extra resolution when you need to identify finer details, such as faces and license plates. 4MP 2K resolution is 2688x1520 pixels vs. 2MP 1920 x 1080 pixels, the more pixels gives you the ability to have further digital zoom, without pixelating the image as much.

Both the MTB8112-V and MTB8110 cameras record in real-time at 30FPS in 4K 8MP resolution. This ensures you have the recording speed to record and view fluid movement on the screen, as it is real-time.

When it comes to simplicity, Montavue has made it so simple that you just need to plug the included Cat5e ethernet cable with each camera into this NVR, and the other end into the camera, wait a minute or two and the camera will be auto recognized and pop up on your screen. The PoE simplicity is perfect, as both power and video are transferred through the same cable. It also gives you flexibility with installation. You can run one single cable from the NVR up to 300ft, and then if you need to go further you can hook a PoE switch up and you can run it an additional 300ft for a total of 600ft. Each one of our Montavue cameras come with a 100ft cat5e cable.

With IP cameras the fun doesn’t stop there. You can bring in cameras to your NVR that are plugged in from around the world as long as they have internet access. This gives you limitless capability, and with the ONVIF compatibility of these cameras (all Montavue cameras are ONVIF compatible which means), you can use them on ONVIF compatible software and recorders. For plug and play compatibility we recommend Montavue IP cameras.

With the Montavue 4K NVR's you are able to record your security footage in four ways, and using a different setting on each camera. First you have continuous recording to your hard drive, this gives you continuous coverage with no gaps, but uses the most hard drive storage. Second, you can schedule the cameras to record only during certain times, for example when you leave for work or away from home. Third, you can set up motion detection and the NVR will only record when the camera senses that motion. This advanced 4K NVR uses a pre-recording function that allows you to record up to 5 seconds before the motion was detected, so you don't miss the moments before the motion. Lastly, you can use advanced IVS features such as tripwire, intrusion, and more to initiate recording.

All of these settings are individual to each camera, giving you the ability to have some set as continuous in high-traffic areas, and some scheduled, while the rest are motion. This allows you to maximize your storage capacity.

The MNR12163-16 16 channel 4K NVR and 4K cameras are equipped with top of the line H.265 video compression. Compression is what helps minimize the storage needed to store your video and also reduces the bandwidth needed to send video through the network and to your mobile device. With H.265 compression, you can save up to 50% of storage compared to traditional H.264 compression. Or you can save up to 2x as much video when compared to H.264 with the same amount of storage used. Additionally, it increases the speed at which video transmits through the network and to your mobile device as they are smaller files.

The Montavue MNR12163-16 16 channel IP camera recording unit comes with a 3TB pre-installed surveillance grade hard drive made by either WD or Seagate. The hard drives we use are specifically designed to function under heavy use. They are designed to write and read constantly and allow you to view playback at the same time it is recording new footage. If you need additional storage, you can replace the included 3TB SATA hard drive with another SATA HD up to 10TB and add an additional 10TB in the second hard drive bay.

If you need to pull your most important clips off your NVR so the hard drive doesn’t overwrite them, we have equipped the NVR with 2 USB ports. Just plug it in, transfer video, and you won’t lose those important moments.

Equipped with 1 HDMI ports and 1 VGA port you can choose whether you want to display standard or high definition output to any monitor with live view, playback, etc.
